from the myMACEF website
myMACEF (www.mymacef.it) is the name of the
website created by the MACEF office, which two
years after its launch comes with an even wider
array of contents and potential without losing
the user-friendliness which has been the winning
formula for its success.
Over the past two years, the site has recorded a
220% increase in users and now offers important
new contents and services while maintaining its
ease of use: the menus still use the language
and idioms of those asking the questions – I
want to know; I’m an exhibitor; at the show; I’m
a stand fitter; FAQ for direct, uncomplicated
browsing.
Exhibitors (or those who intend exhibiting)
have at their disposal a tool which supplies –
in real time and without having to leave their
desks - all the information needed to take part
in the show, from the most simple (how to fill
in the forms, how and where to hire fittings) to
the more technical (power and water supplies,
safety standards).
The site is now divided in two parts: the first,
which is open to all, provides general
information about the fair; the second –which
requires registration – offers exhibitors and
their stand fitters more specific contents,
including a reserved, personal area containing
constantly increasing services tools.
Among the latter are: the possibility to request
an on-line quote, a newsletter about the fair; a
help service (MACEFbox) for information about
delivery status; free search and a map of the
site, RSS feeds.
Technical notes: The site was created in
collaboration with the young Milan company,
Jepro srl (www.jepro.it) using J-PORTAL
technology, based on new web 2.0 standards and
technology it represents a departure point for
the development and release of new services
which are presently works in progress.
